Summary

UNVEILING: The Light of Many Suns documents the installation of a mural by April Banks in a small community in the Antelope Valley called Sun Village. The mural, being installed in Jackie Robinson Park, which was the first park in the United States named after the legendary Jackie Robinson.

Post WWII, Black residents who were disallowed from purchasing in areas like Lancaster and were uprooted by the construction of the 10 Fwy were relegated to Sun Village, where they built a community for themselves. Throughout the years, Jackie Robinson Park have become a communal hub for Sun Village. This short film documents the installation and unveiling of the mural, designed by April Banks.
