The Greenlining Institute is a non-profit organization that works closely with communities of color to understand the racist barriers to economic opportunity they face, and to combat the injustices that persist by demanding accountability from the public and private sectors. They work in partnership with community-based organizations to build consensus on how to produce long-term change and success.
Recently, Greenlining Institute began an initiative called Greenlining the Block to support the leadership and expertise of communities of color to prepare for and maximize federal, state and local infrastructure investments to drive effective climate action that meets community needs. Greenlining the Block works to strengthen community-based organizations to advance climate justice neighborhood projects in communities across California (Stockton, Oakland, Eastern Los Angeles County, San Diego), Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan.
The videos focus on community in Stockton, Chicago, and San Diego.
