In January 2016, I put together an Instagram series project, which was twenty consecutive posts using my Canon 60D DSLR camera and this lens, a homemade, prime macro lens I had purchased from a patron at the Laney Flea Market in Oakland, California about a year ago. The person who I bought it from explained how he made the lens. Since recently, I had used the lens as an ornament and nothing more, but as I have recently been experimenting more with my photography, I decided to spend some quality time with it. As I used the lens for a few days in the field, I had a lot of fun with it, and it will definitely be something I will use in my arsenal. Precision is paramount when using this lens with the focal point being so small, and you have to be really close to the subject to get the shot right. There were many outtakes during the learning curve, but these were some of the best shots during the experiment.
